Every dollar here has a dog or cat attached to it.

We are a small rescue with no building of our own and no paid staff. Donations pay vet bills first, then the transport fuel that gets an animal off a rural euthanasia list and into a foster living room. When you give, you are usually covering one specific animal's week.

Where the money goes

Medical, before anything else

Vaccines, spay or neuter, microchip, heartworm testing, and the dental work that shows up more often than people expect. No animal leaves us unvetted.

Fosters, fully supplied

Food, crate, bedding, litter, and prescriptions go out with every foster placement. Opening your home should not cost you a grocery bill.

Transport off the list

Fuel, crates, and volunteer mileage for the runs to partner shelters in rural counties. Some pickups are four hours each way.

Sponsor a rescue or fill a supply shelf

Give once or set it monthly. Sponsors get photo updates on the animal they covered, right through to the adoption day picture.

Run a supply drive

Offices, classrooms, and church groups do this for us every season. Collect for two weeks, then drop the boxes at the adoption lounge or ask us to swing by on a transport day.

Second Chance Tails Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3). Donations are tax deductible and receipts are emailed the same week. Shelters looking to transfer animals to us can skip the donation page and write directly to hello@secondchancetails.org.
